Database Development using VSTS
A look at database development using Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals.

Session Details:

The July meeting will see SQL MVP, Peter Ward come along and show us how you can use Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals (Datadude) to streamline database development.

Peter will demonstrate how Datadude can be used in the database development process whilst improving collaboration and integration with the rest of the development team.

Specifically, you will see many of the great features Datadude offers including;

·         Manage database schema changes

·         Schema comparisons

·         Data comparison

·         Database Unit Testing

·         Refactoring your databases

·         T-SQL Static code analysis

·         Data generation

 

About the presenter:

Peter Ward is WARDY IT Solutions (www.wardyit.com) Chief Technical Architect.  Peter is an active member in the Australian SQL Server community and President of the Queensland SQL Server User Group.  Peter is a highly regarded speaker at SQL Server events throughout Australia and is a sought after SQL Server consultant and trainer, providing solutions for some of the largest SQL Server sites in Australia.  In the last year Peter was selected as a speaker for Tech-Ed North America, New Zealand and Australia, he has also been selected as a Spotlight speaker for the SQL Pass Community Summit, the largest SQL Server event in the world. Peter has been awarded as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for his technical excellence and commitment to the SQL Server Community.
